Odd$mith Morning Card: Today's Best Bets for October 5, 2026

Here’s the morning Odd$mith card — a curated read on the board built from a smaller set of major-league best bets, with the strongest spots surfaced early instead of dumping every pick on the slate.

Featured Best Bets

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers ML (-113)

Matchup: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Atlanta Braves · Start: Oct 6, 6:00 PM EDT

Dodgers ML is the play because their pitching staff has been a fortress compared to the Braves' leaky plumbing.

NHL: Over 5.5 (100)

Matchup: St Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks · Start: Oct 6, 8:10 PM EDT

Chicago's 0-3 start suggests their defensive structure is currently more porous than a sieve at a water park, setting the stage for a high-scoring mess.

MLS: Vancouver Whitecaps FC ML (125)

Matchup: Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. Chicago Fire · Start: Oct 6, 8:30 PM EDT

Chicago Fire are traveling light, missing their top scorer to injury, which turns this road trip into a scenic tour for Vancouver.

WNBA: Atlanta Dream ML (-142)

Matchup: New York Liberty vs. Atlanta Dream · Start: Oct 7, 7:30 PM EDT

The Liberty's rebounding dominance is a hollow victory if they can't defend the paint, and Atlanta's team defense is exactly the kind of chokehold that suffocates New York's star power.

Final Word
