How to use Odd$mith My Picks and the affiliate program

A draft walkthrough for using My Picks, setting up a public pick profile, saving an affiliate code, and sharing public picks and profiles on Odd$mith.

Why this matters

Odd$mith is still built around official AI sports betting best bets. My Picks is the community layer that lets you build your own pick, track it, publish it, and share it.

If you want a quick version of the system, it works like this:

  • Odd official picks stay separate
  • you can build your own picks for available events
  • you can mark your picks public or private
  • you can create a public pick profile
  • if you are an affiliate, your share links can append your code automatically

That means your public picks can help build your own presence while also sending traffic back into Odd$mith.

Step 1: Build your own pick

Go to My Picks and use Build Your Pick.

The flow is:

  1. choose a sport
  2. choose an available event
  3. choose a market
  4. choose a side
  5. review the current odds
  6. save the pick

This is intentionally a user-driven workflow. You make the pick. Odd$mith can help with research over time, but the user pick layer is not meant to replace the official best-bet board.

Step 2: Decide whether the pick is private or public

When you save a pick, you can choose:

  • Private — only visible in your account
  • Public — gets a public share link you can post on social media

If you want your pick to show up on a public profile later, it needs to be saved as public.

Step 3: Save your affiliate code

If you joined the Odd affiliate program through PromoteKit, go to your Account page and save your affiliate code.

Example:

  • base referral format:

If your affiliate code is saved in your account, Odd can append to the public pick and profile links you share.

That means your own public pick sharing can also carry your affiliate attribution.

Step 4: Set up your public pick profile

On the Account page, you can now configure a public profile with:

  • display name
  • profile slug
  • short bio
  • enable/disable toggle

Once enabled, your public profile lives under:

Your profile can show:

  • active public picks
  • archived public picks
  • record summary
  • win/loss/push/pending counts
  • win rate

Only picks marked public appear there.

Step 5: Share public picks and your profile

Public pick pages now support:

  • Share to FB

Public profile pages also support:

  • Share to FB

If your affiliate code is saved, those shared URLs can include your parameter automatically.

That creates a simple loop:

  • build pick
  • publish pick
  • share pick or profile
  • grow your own public track record
  • send traffic back into Odd

A few important notes

Official picks are still the main product

Odd$mith is still centered on official AI sports betting best bets. The community/user pick system is the supporting social layer, not a replacement for the main board.

Public record should stay clean

Because public profiles show record and archived picks, it is worth being selective and consistent. People will read a visible record as a claim, not as a toy.

Facebook sharing works differently than X

X supports prefilling text more directly. Facebook usually relies more on the page preview itself. That is why public pick pages and profile pages now need solid metadata and descriptions.

Recommended setup for users

If you want the most complete version of the feature, the checklist is simple:

  1. save your affiliate code in Account
  2. enable your public pick profile
  3. set a display name, slug, and short bio
  4. make the picks you want to share public
  5. use the built-in share buttons

Why we built it this way

The old idea of a private AI-generated pick flow was muddy. This version is more honest and more useful:

  • Odd handles the official best-bet layer
  • users build their own picks
  • users can share picks and profiles publicly
  • affiliate attribution can ride with those links

That is a much better foundation for social growth than asking users to share generic AI output nobody really owns.

What comes next

The next round of improvements will probably be about polish, not reinvention:

  • tighter public profile design
  • better public share previews
  • stronger profile linking inside the app
  • cleaner record storytelling
  • more useful research assist around user-built picks

For now, the important part is that the foundation is finally there.

Thanks, Odd$mith
